Coinbase Gateway
Coinbase is an external gateway for accepting cryptocurrency payments. You connect it through a Coinbase Commerce account.
Connecting an External Gateway
This page describes the general flow for connecting any external gateway. Each gateway also has its own page with provider-specific details (see the supported gateways).
PaymentsAI Gateway
The PaymentsAI Gateway is the native gateway. It requires no external account and no backend processor, as PaymentsAI processes payments on this gateway directly. It becomes available after your account application is approved.
Gateway Comparison
Use this guide to choose between the native PaymentsAI Gateway and an external gateway.
Klarna Gateway
Klarna is an external gateway for Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payments. Customers can split a purchase into installments without applying for new credit through PaymentsAI.
NMI Gateway
NMI is an external gateway. It does not process payments on its own; instead, it routes them to a backend processor. To use NMI with PaymentsAI, you must hold an account with one of NMI's connected processors.
Gateways Overview
A gateway is the connection that authorises and processes your card and alternative payments. PaymentsAI supports two models:
PayPal Gateway
PayPal is an external gateway. You connect your PayPal account to PaymentsAI through PayPal's own authentication flow.
Splitit Gateway
Splitit is an external gateway that lets customers pay in installments using their existing credit card. Unlike traditional Buy Now, Pay Later providers, Splitit does not require the customer to apply for a new loan, undergo a credit check, or pay added interest.
Stripe Gateway
Stripe is an external gateway. You connect your own Stripe account to PaymentsAI, and processing is handled entirely by Stripe.
